MTV goes retro with classic seasons of The Real World this weekend.

I guess Fox News was having a slow news day. Have there been any national stories they've been trying to ignore this week? Any anniversaries?
Deadline reports that a majorMary Tyler Moore Show reunion is coming to Hot in Cleveland with Mary Tyler Moore, Cloris Leachman and Valerie Harper appearing in an episode that sees Elka (Betty White) and Mamie Sue (Georgia Engel) reunite their old bowling team. The episode is scheduled to film on April 5.
I could add some commentary about these animated New Girl gifs of Jake Johnson, but they're images of Jake Johnson and its Friday. Isn't that enough? Treat yourself!
TV Guide reports that ABC Family's comedy Baby Daddy, which has already booked Matt Dallas for a recurring role, will also see Leslie Jordan make a guest appearance as a "bossy elf" who makes working as a mall Santa a pain.
ABC is flat out telling you, watch Happy Endings next Friday or they'll have to cancel it.
The upcoming season of NTSF: SD: SUV:: is adding a new member to the team— former Doctor Who companion Karen Gillan.
A lot of TV writershaveweighed in on rumored changes to the The Tonight Show, but The Hollywood Reporter's Tim Goodman says that we should really be wondering about Jon Stewart. When Stewart takes a break this summer, it could deliver future trouble for Comedy Central if viewers tune out for John Oliver's guest-hosting stint and, worse, if a drop in Daily Show viewers ends up hurting The Colbert Report's ratings.
Comedy legend Bob Newhart has booked his first appearance in a sitcom since 2005, appearing in a May sweeps episode of The Big Bang Theory, reports TVLine. He'll play a Mr. Wizard-type of TV personality who was a big influence on Sheldon and Leonard when they were children.
David Anders is joining the cast of Necessary Roughness next week, reports The Hollywood Reporter. He'll play the second in command to John Stamos' new character, who owns the world's top sports talent agency and from the sound ot things this may be a return to the kind of eeeevil character Anders plays so well.
After insisting that it wouldn't offer its HBO GO service as a separate subscription to people who don't have a cable subscription, the premium channel might be on the verge of changing its mind, though you would have to subscribe through your internet provider, making HBO GO a premium service you buy on top of your internet service.
Mamie Gummer has joined the CBS pilotBackstrom (which also stars Rainn Wilson and Kristoffer Polaha, with Thomas Dekker in a guest role). Gummer will play a lesbian police officer who has been nicknamed "The Angel of Death" by the media for the time she killed three people who shot at her.
Friday's Listings
Anderson Live (syndicated) Check local listings
It's time for another awkward "Frugal Friday" (Anderson, you can afford it, just spend the money!) with co-host Judge Marilyn Milian from The People's Court.
Days of Our Lives (NBC) Check local listings
There's a confrontation between Nick and Sonny that nearly turns violent expected for today's show, and we'll be following it with a liveblog, and hoping that Sonny will turn to the audience to find someone to kiss his booboos, Be here starting at 1 PM Eastern.
The Real World Marathon (MTV) starting at 8:00 PM ET
For some reason, MTV has decided to revisit the early days of The Real World and remind us of how it was once a show about young people with dreams, that went beyond becoming a reality star and spending a few years traveling to wherever the new season of The Challenge is filming. However, let's not spend too much time questioning this great gift and just enjoy the chance to watch the original New York gang again with moments of ogling Eric.
Last Man Standing (ABC) 8:00 PM ET
I may have been so offended by Mike's rants in the pilot that I've avoided this show ever since, but I figure some of you will be interested in Jonathan Taylor Thomas showing up for a Home Improvement reunion in tonight's season finale.
Malibu Country (ABC) 8:30 PM ET
For the first season finale, Reba's family decides to meddle in her love life and... oh, who cares when Eddie McClintock is supposed to be a part of the episode! Yet, somehow, the episode description seems to think Stacy Keach is the bigger star.
Degrassi (Teen Nick) 9:00 PM ET
Fiona continues to deal with the feeling of vulnerability that comes after a break-in, taking security measures that put herself in danger. I guess that means she watched The Walking Dead a few weeks ago and found those booby traps inspiring.
Grimm (NBC) 9:00 PM ET
At long last, we're finally getting to see the Scooby Gang (Portland Division) get together and now Juliette and Rosalee are combining their knowledge to try to restore Juliette's memory. This makes me as happy as the time a dark stranger showed up at Angel's office and turned out to by Wesley.
Spartacus: War of the Damned (Starz) 9:00 PM ET
Spartacus's army encounters a metaphor as they find themselves at a crossroads and debate which direction they want to go.
Hubris (MSNBC) 9:00 PM ET
Talking Hubris (MSNBC) 10:00 PM ET
MSNBC is re-airing the Rachel Maddow-narrated documentary about the deception that went into selling Americans on going to war in Iraq, but this time they're following it with a panel (featuring Rep. Patrick Murphy, Chris Hayes, Alex Wagner and Hubris authors Michael Isikoff and David Corn) to discuss the issue further.
Out There (IFC) 10:00 PM ET
There's a new girl in town and Chad is quite smitten with her — too bad, there's also a new bully in town and he's her brother.
Kristen Chenoweth is Live from Lincoln Center on PBS.
Saturday's Listings
The Kids Choice Awards (NicK0 8:000 PM ET
Josh Duhamel is this year's host for another night of blimp statues and green slime. We'll be livetweeting the ceremony, so head to your twitter feed this Saturday night!
Chupacabra Vs. the Alamo (Syfy) 9:00 PM ET
Remember how Weeds had Nancy running a boutique in a border town that hid a tunnel that allowed Guillermo to smuggle drugs across under the border? (Of course you do, this was during the era when Nancy was infuriating but we still had Guillermo and Celia.) Syfy's latest movies starts with that premise and then asks what would happen if digging such a tunnel could let loose a terrible monster. This one stars Erik Estrada, which would have been much more exciting if aired a week earlier.
Monsters Vs. Aliens (Nick) 9:30 PM ET
The Monsters Vs. Aliens movie turned out to be far more entertaining than I expected (and I wouldn't have never found out if not for Stephen Colbert's role). Now its a TV series getting a preview in after one of Nick's biggest events. I'm keeping my figners crossed they maintained the charm of the original.
Sunday's Listings
The Real World Marathon (MTV) starting at 8:00 AM ET
Sunday morning brings another chance to catch the season that was an absolute landmark in gay visibility and changed the way a generation thought about homosexuality and HIV thanks to Pedro Zamora. Unfortunately, this marathon doesn't include the memorial special that reunited the cast for the worst possible reason. Its a powerful time capsule that hasn't been seen very often but finally gets another airing and a reminder of when The Real World felt lofty, not trashy.
Up with Chris Hayes (MSNBC) 8:00 AM ET
Dan Savage is returning for one last Sunday morning interview with Chris Hayes. Savage is always a great interview but he's extra great when he talks with Hayes.
Kristin Chenoweth: The Dames of Broadway... All of 'em!!! (PBS) Check local listings
In this new concert special, the faboo Kristin Chenoweth performs selections from Funny Girl, Sweeney Todd, Hello, Dolly!, Wonderful Town and more.
Once Upon a Time (ABC) 8:00 PM Et
It's been a while since we've seen August and, now that Mary Margaret has exiled herself from Storybrooke in shame, we find out August is facing a similar fate. Let's keep our fingers crossed that an exile of shame includes time taking a shower of shame.
The Amazing Race (CBS) 8:00 PM ET
Great. I always hate U-Turn drama. It's a part of the game, it's strategy, it's not a grand betrayal. Yes, it's frustrating, but I hate watching teams complain about being U-Turned, so I'm cringing in advance of this week's drama which features Team Mullet confronting Team YouTube.
Married to Medicine (Bravo) 9:00 PM ET
Bravo's filling the void left by the Real Housewives of Atlanta's finale with a show that follows six Atlanta women who are either doctors or married to doctors, including Dr. Jacqueline Walters, whose patients include Toni Braxton and Usher.
The Good Wife (CBS) 9:00 PM ET
Ask any soap viewer, the best show of any TV show involves a big number of cast members showing up for a charity gala — especially when Mike Kresteva (Matthew Perry) returns to stir things up.
Shameless (Showtime) 9:00 PM ET
Great. Frank is representing us, now? Even better, he's found a way to turn his moment in the spotlight into yet another scam.
Walking Dead (AMC) 9:00 PM ET
We're at the penultimate episode and there's talk of a truce between Rick and The Governor... but what kind of finale would "the truce is signed and everyone peacefully goes their own way" be?
Revenge (ABC) 9:00 PM ET
There's something about the sight of Nolan sitting next to Aiden with a sniper rifle that just feels like a symbol of how this show has lost its way. Last season, there would be capers, hidden cameras, hacked bank accounts and a generous serving of just desserts. This season, they're using a sniper rifle like this were a show on AMC or Showtime.
Vikings (History) 10:00 PM ET
I was planning to give History's first scripted series only a mention when it debuted but (in addition to being an intriguing show) Ragnar and Athelstan are shippy as hell. This week, Ragnar is back in England while Athelstan stays home and takes care of the kids. Really.
Talking Dead (AMC) 10:00 PMET
This week's guests are producer Greg Nicotero and David Morrissey.
