As the Season Of Doom careens towards its conclusion, it's clear that Michelle is headed to the finals. A bit shaky at first (due to her inclusion in the perpetually losing team), she's become the one to beat in the last few weeks. But who will join her? Stanley may be a safe bet, and perhaps Layana, and I would definitely have included Samantha ... before tonight.
But this is the first season I can recall where the top three is questionable, and not because there are too many worthy designers, but because there are so few..
This week the designers have to create ready-to-wear looks inspired by the Lord & Taylor rose.
Here are the 5 most memorable moments.
1. DESIGNER, HEAL THYSELF
Richard: "Lord & Taylor is so luxurious. I feel right at home." Says the man dressed like a gay truck stop hooker.
2. DANIEL'S MELTDOWN
"After the critique with Tim, I got to thinking, you know what, Daniel, you've done jackets and pants throughout this competition. Why not do a dress? So now I literally have to ... take apart ... my jacket ... to cut this dress out ... and I knew that I had just minutes to do it. It's like you know when you make something you really love and you have to destroy it to make something else. And it killed me to do that because it was so pretty, but I knew I had to take this chance. I had to to take this risk. I HAD TO TAKE A CHANCE."

3. EVERYONE HATES EVERYONE.
4. THE WINNING DESIGN.
By far the best look of the night, there was no competition. But Michelle's winning design meant that ..
5. THE CLEAR LOSING DESIGN WAS SAVED.
Paired up (oh, that's right, this is still "Teams," which once again meant very little except personality conflict) with Michelle, Daniel was saved from the bottom by being on her winning team. But I certainly would have given him the auf over Samantha's too-busy-but-at-least-not-bland design.
The bottom two were Samantha and Richard, and i was shocked that Richard made it through again. But I guess he provides more conflict than Samantha, and let's face out ... there's a better chance for a freak-out with him.
