Film critic Roger Ebertpassed away today at the age of 70, marking the end of an era in film criticism.
To many of us of a certain age, this comes as devastating news. Roger and his critic partner Gene Siskel were a part of my formative years, and I remember sneaking downstairs at 1 AM on Saturday nights to watch At The Movies, and I followed the show through its various incarnations, until Gene's death in 1999.
Tomorrow Louis Virtel will take a look at the impact Roger made in helping to shine the spotlight on gay films throughout the years, but below you can see Gene and Roger behind-the-scenes at their hilarious bitchy best.
Goodbye, Roger, and rest in peace.
