Syfy released a lot of news yesterday and probably the biggest revelation is that it ordered a fourth season of Being Human.
The channel also ordered a bunch of series and pilots. That included a pilot of High Moon from "television icon" (I'm going to use that title in the future, I sound too much like a fanboy when I call him a "god of teleplays") Bryan Fuller, and developing seven other dramas set in space. Every so often I'll see a complaint about how Syfy doesn't have any shows set in space (a big part of science fiction, admittedly), clearly they're trying to address that.
Syfy also ordered a few series including a horror anthology series from Jamie Foxx to air as part of Syfy's Halloween programming. It will focus on "creepy morality tales" in the tradition of The Twilight Zone and Tales from the Crypt. (Sigh, no one mentions The Hitchhiker anymore.) Syfy also ordered a trio of reality series including one about cosplayers and another following twelve geeks living in a house together.
Meanwhile, EW reports that Syfy is also developing two mini-series based on the classic sci-fi novels Ringworld and Childhood's End, This isn't the first time the network tried to adapt Ringworld, a previous attempt happened nine years ago.

The CW has decided that Cult isn't even worth airing on Friday nights and has pulled the struggling thriller from the schedule. Okay, Matt Davis is free, somebody find him a new role!
HBO has ordered a pilot for Open, the racy drama about human sexuality from Ryan Murphy, according to Deadline. HBO says that Murphy figured out the issues that challenged its previous drama about human sexuality, Tell Me You Love Me.
According to AfterEllen's Heather Hogan, there's a chance Glee could be going through flux next season — if there's a next season. Producers Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan and Brad Falchuk might be leaving and Fox is unsure if the show should continue without them.
Are we at the point where someone has to write a "Mad Men with negroes" spec script for the Mad Men writing team to be able to imagine how they might address race in the era of the Civil Rights struggle? Really?

Drop Dead Diva will be seeking a new guardian angel as Carter MacIntyre is leaving the series, according to TVLine. Jane's next angel will be a guy with "an Abercrombie-ad body and the carefree attitude of a Zen surfer".

NBC has renewed Last Call with Carson Daly, squashing rumors that the show were going to be handed over to Alec Baldwin, a possibility that E! reports never went beyond "conversations." However, the New York Times (where the Baldwin story originally appeared) says Baldwin's proposed show is still under consideration.

She's already changed the department of sanitation, tonight City Councillor Leslie Knope takes on animal control to give the department a makeover. I'd be tempted to stop after suggesting a "Twelve Cutest Animals Being Held by Pawnee Animal Control" post to Buzzfeed, but Leslie is far more dedicated.

Glee can be been pretty socially irresponsible sometimes, but when it tries, it does a good job of tackling a current, hot button issue. From the early buzz I've seen, that's the case with tonight's episode, which takes on gun violence. I hear you should make sure to mentally prepare for a sucker punch to the emotions.

The designers take to the skies for inspiration, flying to Paris, Barcelona, Berlin and London in search for inspiration before they have to present their looks to guest-judge John Legend.

My office jobs have either been in single-story buildings or in the Bay Area where we all complained to each other about how security wouldn't let us take the stairs. Thus when the Dunder-Mifflin gang faces "Stairmaggedon" after the elevator fails, forcing everyone to take the stairs, I expect to be yelling at the TV "You all work sedentary jobs! Take the chance to burn a few extra calories when you can!" Somehow, in the midst of it all, Roseanne Barr shows up.

For the first season finale, Ryan tries to take his show national with Julie's help. I presume this means things will end with a cliffhanger about syndication contracts. Or maybe I'm just dreaming.

Did I forget that Archer creator Adam Reed also created Sealab? That seems relevant as tonight's finale sends the ISIS crew to an underwater laboratory to deal with someone named Captain Murphy.

Tabatha heads to Riverside, California to try to turnaround an aging gay bar where the three longtime owners have been sucking the fun out of the room and driving customers away.

Sure, Will's overall quest is to find a guy who may be a cannibal but this week he's pursuing a killer who is killing people to use as fertilizer for growing mushrooms. That's halfway to being a cannibal, right? Still, wouldn't it be easier to start a compost pile?
