- Continuing the 50 Greatest 80's TV Theme Songs/Openings!, Here's #47, Double Trouble
- Twins Liz and Jean Sagal grew up in a showbiz family. Their father is director Boris Sagal, and their sister is the faboo Katey Sagal, so it was natural that they followed suit. They made their mark as Doublemint Twins and in Grease 2, and in 1984 NBC gave them their own sitcom. Double Trouble aired as a midseason replacement in April 1984 for eight episodes, with Donnelly Rhodes and a pre-Home ImprovementPatricia Richardson, and though it got lousy ratings, NBC decided to give it another shot, and brought a retooled version back in December. This time the twins were transplanted to NYC, but the new locale didn't help ratings, and it was canceled after 15 episodes. But I still remember the theme song, performed by the twins, which is very Misfits from Jem.
