Previously on Misfits: People have superpowers, which resulted in our unheroic heroes killing their probation worker Tony in self-defense. They covered up the killing, but Tony's girlfriend Sally is his replacement and she's hella suspicious.
We begin with Nathan being a huge jerk to Simon and Sally snooping through the Misfits' stuff (so no big changes from last time). Sally's co-worker is skeptical of her accusations even with the discovery of Tony's credit card in Simon's locker.
Sally talks to each of the gang one-on-one, leaving Simon for last so that she can get extra-chummy with him. After work, she offers him a ride (clearly with an ulterior motive).
Meanwhile, Curtis is stuck juggling two girlfriends after last episode's time travel escapades. He tries breaking up with Sam, but his regret-fueled time travel power turns out to be a bit of a nuisance when he gets an unwanted “do-over” after she starts crying.
Sally drives Simon home and they seem to really hit it off. Later, when Simon chats with his online pal Shygirl18 (secretly Sally), she encourages him to ask her out. Oh, Sally. Shame on you, leading poor Simon on.
Curtis comes to Nathan for advice about his breakup dillema. Nathan suggests that Curtis somehow get Sam to hate him (something that I suspect Nathan is pretty well-versed in) so that she'll insult him and Curtis won't feel regret. He concludes with a quote from Spiderman, and then gets really interested in some baby. That's weird. Whatever!
Curtis tries again to break up with Sam, first by telling her he's gay, then by calling her fat, then by saying she has.... something I'm not sure I can write here. After all that, it's Nathan's Spiderman quote that does the trick. Maybe the so-dumb-it's-smart thing is Nathan's power?
Simon takes Sally out for a drink. Simon tells her the story of the boy's house he tried to burn down and how he peed through the mail slot to rescue a cat. Awww. They kiss, but Sally decides to call it a night. Simon goes back to being creepy, turns invisible and spies on her in her house. Oh, Simon. Don't do that.
The next day, Nathan starts hearing that weird baby crying, finds it, grabs it, and takes it up to the roof.
Kelly uses her mind-reading to figure out that the baby is using some sort of telepathy to convince Nathan that he's the baby daddy. Fortunately, once Nathan starts running his mouth, the baby seems smart enough to figure out that he'd be a terrible dad and breaks the spell. Nathan's idiocy to the rescue once again!
Curtis explains his accidental infidelity to Alisha and she's pretty cool with it. I like the weird sort of functional nonsense their relationship makes.
Sally and Simon have an intimate moment after hours, but her real scheme is to check the video footage on Simon's phone. She watches Nathan mouth off about killing Tony; exactly the evidence she's been looking for. Simon catches her and she slams his head into a mirror. Ouch.
Simon turns invisible and also a bit nuts. A fight ensues, and Sally gets her head smashed against a door in the process. Sally is dead. Simon is devastated. I am a little bummed at the prospect of no more Simon/Sally shipping.
Another body to hide? What's a Misfit to do? Find out during the season finale next week!
