Yes to the Spice Girls. Yes to Christmas. And the biggest yes of all to the Spice Girls performing screwball comedy in commercials for UK retailer Tesco! This commercial came out a few years ago for the Girls' reunion tour, and it is the perfect Buster Keaton-esque experience to rev you up for the holiday season.
If you're like me and miss the Spice Girls' vaudeville antics, you get a nice chunk of it back in this ad, where the girls keep hiding from each other in the glorious aisles of Tersco. Duck, Emma! Shimmy right, Mel B!
I love how Victoria looks like Rooney Mara's blonde disguise in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Just ridiculous and perfect, like her acting skills. In fact, all of the girls look great, and if I do say so myself, Mel C (Sporty) looks phenomenal. She also happens to be dressed the best, and surely you remember that was her major shortcoming in the "Wannabe" era.
Also: Maybe Emma would just give random blazers as Christmas gifts.
