Get ready to see plenty of Anger Management because FX is going to burn through the 90-episodes it ordered. The network plans to air 45 episodes a year, which means it will air every week for the next two years, taking a few breaks for the holidays. Er, good news for Michael Arden fans?
And speaking of Anger Management... well, the phrase "Two and a Half Men reunion" doesn't usually grab my interest unless you add Jane Lynch into the mix. I'm not happy about it, but I notice.
The Killing hasn't been renewed for a third season yet but TVLine says that filming is scheduled to begin on February 25 and has descriptions for the new characters.
Switched at Birth is getting a mother-and-daughter reunion. Ringer alum Zoey Deutch— Lea Thompson's real life daughter, will appear in two episodes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Game of Thrones isn't the only show getting its own beer, Stone Brewery announced that its first collaboration of the year will be an homage to It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia called "Dayman Coffee IPA". I'm trying to wrap my head around the idea of mixing coffee with an IPA.
Oh goody. Not only is General Hospital bringing back Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), her return will play on how her character became a vampire slayer in the spin-off series Port Charles.
After a successful test run last summer, Bethenny Frankel's talk show (which is produced by Ellen DeGeneres) has been picked up by stations covering 97% of the country.
The Puerto Rican puppeteer who plays La Comay (who you might have seen on The Daily Show recently) has resigned from the show rather than deal with new restrictions established in response to protests (that Ricky Martin participated in).
Psy's "Gangnam Style" has been rewritten to promote Fox shows, been covered on Glee and inspired parody after parody video. Now the viral hit will be part of a Super Bowl ad. At this point, I've given up on saying the song has been killed by overexposure. Every time I think it reaches a new level of overexposure it turns out that people still haven't had their fill. (I'll admit, I still find it catchy. But then, I still listen to my Betty Boo singles, too.)
In ratings news, this was a good week for returning cable shows. Portlandia's third-season premiere improved 30% on the second, Pretty Little Liars was the top show among viewers under 50 Tuesday while Justified improved on its previous season by 17%.
For a little while yesterday, it looked like Jimmy Kimmel won his debut airing against David Letterman and Jay Leno. However, it turned out that while Kimmel beat Letterman, he only bested Leno in the 56 biggest cities. Vulture adds that Jon Stewart's 2012 average rating beats both Letterman and Kimmel.

With only three more episodes left in the season (no, no, no, no, no) 30 Rock delivers a long list of guest-stars this week including Octavia Spencer, Steve Buscemi and Megan Mullally (reprising her role as the adoption agent, I'm guessing?) as well as Will Arnett and Chloe Grace Moretz who will be participating in a big battle royale for control of Kabletown. Since I just saw Hugo, I'm hoping Kaylie has a secret army of automatons.

Tonight, Amy, Penny and Bernadette go "where no woman has gone before!" They mean the comic shop! Because no girls like comic books! That's why girls who do like comic books deserved to be viciously harassed as fake geek girls, who a clearly poseurs using whatever advantage they can find to score a guy like Wolowitz. Huh, I guess it's time I take that particular rage casserole out of the oven. I probably will have to skip this one unless I'm suddenly in the mood to spend twenty minutes yelling, "Stop being a part of the problem" at the TV.

Tonight's episode sounds like a bad flashback to me. Not only is Cynthia Rowley guest-judging, they're headed to Paris to do a couture challenge. The only thing that could make things any worse is the addition of fleurchons.

Okay, so Kathy's first season didn't quite grab me the way I hoped it would, but this season Bravo is going all in and letting Kathy air live (with, I presume, a seven hundred second delay). They're kicking things off tonight with Jane Lynch, Liza Minnelli and Lisa Kudrow. Please tell me this will finally be the hour of crazy that can match Kathy Griffin's comedy specials.

What turned Scandal from ho-hum been-there procedural into a show worth paying attention to was its embracing the WTF moment, topping them week-to-week like Russell T. Davies would try to make sure each Doctor Who finale has more OMG-ness than the previous finale. With Huck in custody for the attempted assassination on the President, this week asks the question — how are we supposed to react to seeing the woobbie torturer/stalker/killer getting waterboarded? Is this when we wish to see Gillermo Diaz play another barely-there gay BFF who, at least, doesn't get tortured?
