- Kristin Chenoweth will be Anderson Cooper's first co-host when his daytime talk show returns on September 10th. Other early co-hosts include Goldie Hawn, Kelly Osbourne, and Cyndi Lauper.
- The faboo Vera Farmiga will star as Norma Bates in the A&E prequel series Bates Motel.
- Syfy has acquired the Canadian series Continuum, which is good news for two reasons. It stars Victor Webster and lots of cute Canadian actors, and I was afraid that Syfy had completely abandoned new scripted series in favor of cheap ass reality shows, so this is a welcome respite. The show has already started airing in Canada, so i'm interested to know from our Canadian readers what they think of it. Oh, and did I mention it stars Victor Webster?
- A belated congrats to Rosie O'Donnell, who announced that she and Michelle Rounds were married back on June 9th.
- Tootsie is coming to Broadway. Frankly, I'm shocked it took this long. It would seem like a natural.
- The Paralympic Games start in London on Wednesday, and here's a great profile of the out nine-time gold medalist Lee Pearson, who has led a very ... colorful life. He's up for three more gold medals this year, and we'll be rooting for him. (h/t Aiden).
