Darren Criss performed at two Inaugural Balls. This is from the Convention Center Ball.

  • Birthday shoutouts go to Neil Diamond, who is 73, and Michael Ontkean is 67.
  • Mike Ruiz has released a "Pretty Masculine" App that he calls the "evolution of the coffee table book."
  • Review title of the year: James Franco's Infuriating 'Interior. Leather Bar.' Is An Empty Glory Hole.
      • J.J. Abrams will direct Star Wars Episode VII. Poor Ben Affleck can't catch a break.
      • Out Ari Gold needs your help to raise money for his new music video and documentary, and he's willing to get naked for it. STRONG NSFW WARNING! "F" bomb and Ari bum!.

      • Manti Te'o' has responded to the speculation that he's gay. "No, far from it ... far from it." What the hell does that even mean? This guy is the definition of "lunkhead."

      • Below you can see a promo for Seth MacFarlane and The Oscars. Isn't inserting yourself into a movie Billy Crystal's Oscar schtick?

      • Below you can see the trailer for The Walking Dead, which returns February 10th.

      • Here's your Daily Matt Bomer™. One more close-up from the Inaugural Ball.

      • The 100 Greatest Lost Hits Of The 80's countdown may be over, but every Thursday we're going to travel back again and pay tribute to an 80's tune that should have been a bigger hit. This week, it's "I Don't Mind At All" by Bourgeois Tagg. The duo of Brent Bourgeois and Lyle Tagg hit the Billboard chart once, but they left a memorable impression with the gorgeous Beatles-esque "I Don't Mind At All," which sadly couldn't climb higher than #38 in December 1987.

      • Continuing the 50 Greatest 80's TV Theme Songs/Openings! ... and here they are, THE TOP TEN! At #9 is ... Otherworld

      • Airing on CBS from January 26, 1985 – March 16, 1985, Otherworld was about ... well, it's way too hard to explain, so let Wikipedia do it."The Sterling family (Hal, June, Trace, Gina, Smith) take a tour of the interior of the Great Pyramid of Giza at the same time as a once-in-ten-thousand-years conjunction of the planets. Inside, they are abandoned by their guide, and as they try to get out, they are mysteriously transported to another planet which may or may not be in a parallel universe." And that's just in the opening minutes. Each week the family would have to survive the many worlds of the Otherworld while trying to find a way home. The opening was fantastic, with a spoken-word intro followed by a synth instrumental that sounds like an early discarded Depeche Mode demo.
