Community is back! High-five! Or just a self-five if you still miss Liz Lemon.
News
Dave Annable has joined a comedy pilot. Joe, Joe and Jane follows an author who struggles to balance the needy demands of his wife and his best friend. Annable will play the best friend.
It's official. Taissa Farmiga has joined the third season cast of American Horror Story.
I learned about the greatness of Margo Martindale from her supporting role on The Riches, was thrilled to see her get her due with the accolades for her Justified role and eagerly await getting to see her on The Americans. Now, EW reports that Martindale is set to appear on New Girl as Nick's mom.
The Office's Ellie Kemper (who we still love) has joined a comedy pilot at NBC. Brenda Forever will follow a woman who "marches to the beat of her own drum" with flashbacks to her childhood that show how she became the person she is now.
The producers of Archer have revealed the people who visually inspired the show's characters. Would you be surprised that the guy who inspired Sterling is a former model? Surprising revelation: despite the resemblance, Jessica Walter, Aisha Tyler and Chris Parnell aren't the basis for their characters.
Our national nightmare will never end, will it?
In that light, a Top Chef renewal isn't that disappointing.
ABC is planning a summer reality series where a group of thirteen people will live in a mansion together and try to figure out which one of them is the "murderer" who is killing the rest of the competitors. Whodunnit? claims inspiration from Clue and CSI but, as Andy Dehnart notes it sounds like a cross between The Mole and Murder in Small Town X. I'll be happy if it doesn't end up like other ABC's summer reality shows — a great show with terrible ratings.
Donal Logue is joining the cast of Copper in its second season and getting a ridiculous period beard for the role.
Face Off is adding a webseries where eliminated competitors battle for a chance to return in the following season. I'd be more excited if this season's cast weren't so underwhelming.
The planned spin-off of NCIS: Los Angeles beefed up its cast yesterday, adding John Corbett while also promoting Miguel Ferrer to be a regular of NCIS: Los Angeles until he can move on to the spin-off.
E! has ordered a reality show that will follow boy band The Wanted.
CBS would like to remind all Grammy performers to make sure they cover up. Also, nothing to show support of a cause.

Girls'Allison Williams will be talking with Anderson Amber Cooper about her hit show and her relationship with her famous father. Huh, that's makes two days in a row where Anderson asked his guest about their relationship with a famous parent. What, is this a topic of particular interest to him?

Eric Stonestreet's talking up what's coming up on Modern Family today, as well as his role in Identity Thief. Plus, singer Emeli Sande will be performing.
Community (NBC) 8:00 PM ET
After spending the third season worrying if their show would get another season, Community fans had a new cliffhanger to worry about over the summer — can the series survive without creator Dan Harmon? Let's hope there's a happy conclusion since the continuation of Troy and Abed makes the loss of Liz Lemon less depressing.
The Big Bang Theory (CBS) 8:00 PM ET
Every so often, The Big Bang Theory needs to do an episode to declare that, yes Sheldon's behavior isn't endearingly quirky but would make him a pain to know in real life, an episode where Leonard stands up for himself amid all of Sheldon's demands. That's where we're at this week, only this time Penny and Amy have to deal with the aftermath.
The Vampire Diaries (CW) 8:00 PM ET
Bonnie tries to figure out meaning of the Hunter's Mark, I hope that means getting Jeremy to lose his shirt. Meanwhile, Stefan tries to keep Elena and Rebekah from fighting so much and to keep viewers from screaming, "Just move to New Orleans, already!"
Parks & Recreation (NBC) 8:30 PM ET
While it's not yet Christmas for the characters of Community, it's Valentine's Day for the rest of NBC's Thursday night comedies. This year, after a number of bad relationships, Ann's using the holiday to inspire a life-changing decision. Clearly, this is where she switches careers to become a hip, undercover cop, following in the footsteps of her mother.
The Office (NBC) 9:00 PM ET
Meanwhile, the Dundler-Mifflin team are spending their Valentine's Day is (what else) awkwardness as the staff pairs off into fake relationships to take advantage of a Valentine's Day discount, Andy returns to the office after just abandoning Erin on a dock (don't worry, she's found a way to do the same thing, essentially) while Jim and Pam have dinner with the documentary crew guy.
Glee (Fox) 9:00 PM ET
Okay, so if you get the winning team disqualified after being disqualified yourself, you win? Who runs this competition? Drow elves? Sith? In that case, shouldn't Santana be in charge? Maybe that why she's returning this week. I hope that's the case, as Santana would make a great glee club director. Oh, and speaking of frustrating glee club directors, we get a peek at Emma and Will's wedding.
Project Runway (Lifetime) 9:00 PM ET
The teams are expected to help Heidi Klum sell her new fragrance line by spending an episode designing something for her to wear to the launch.
Suits (USA) 10:00 PM ET
I think this is the episode that features the death of Daniel Hardman. He returns tonight to file a lawsuit against Jessica, and I can't imagine getting that look from Jessica again and again can be good for his health.
Elementary (CBS) 10:00 PM ET
Now that Sherlock is done fighting the blackout-inspired delay, it's time to do a favor for his old drug dealer whose daughter has been kidnapped. I predict plenty of annoyed looks from Joan.
Archer (FX) 10:00 PM ET
Sterling gets to know his new stepfather in the way you'd expect, a day that falls apart and ends in them running away from gangsters.
Kathy (Bravo) 10:00 PM ET
Kathy's got Larry King and Craig Ferguson scheduled for tonight's show..
Scandal (ABC) 10:00 PM ET
The Cytron storyline has delivered some ridiculously crazy developments that keep getting bigger and bigger (Election rigging! Mail bombs! A spy who makes Huck look sane!), so how will Scandal wrap it all up?
King of the Nerds (TBS) 10:00 PM ET
Who better to guest-judge a superhero trivia challenge than Kevin Smith?
