The Chicago Tribune has come out in favor of marriage equality in Illinois in a powerful editorial. "Allowing same-sex couples to wed under the law would not devalue traditional marriage. It would affirm the bedrock values that underlie and sustain such unions. Marriage promotes stable families, safeguards the interests of children and rewards committed relationships. Recognizing same-sex marriages demonstrates respect for personal freedoms and keeps government out of the intimate affairs of citizens. More people in same-sex relationships are adopting or giving birth to children; this provides the security of a legal commitment for those children. It's the fair thing to do."

Weddings Unveiled initially rejected an ad from a wedding photographer using a picture of a same-sex marriage, then reversed course and accepted the ad. It wasn't their personal beliefs that caused the initial rejection, but fear of backlash. "Honestly, we knew that everyone would not share our belief that all people have the right to marry. The issue is very sensitive and it is also very divided. We knew that it was possible that people would be offended if we published the ad and we knew that it was possible that people would be offended if we did not. We are so sorry that we acted out of fear and uncertainty. We had never been faced with such a decision and we should have acted with our hearts."

I'm so used to my friend Brett Berk driving around in Bentleys that I was stunned when he sent me his picks for top cars under $30,000, which is something I could actually afford. I admit, I'm fascinated by the Dodge Dart.

Talk show host Janet Mefferd thinks that her desire to not even gaze upon the gays should trump equality, and the right of high schoolers to attend their prom. "Whether the homosexual activists like it or not, and I know this isn’t politically correct Thomas Lennonto say this, but not everybody wants to see that. I know that that’s offensive to the activist crowd, they want us all to see it, they want us all to approve of it, they want us all to call it blessed and okay and rejoice and have parties and throw confetti in the air over this whole thing. But the fact of the matter is it’s a moral issue. You will always have Christians who will disagree with this and why should the rights of the activists trump the rights of Christians?"

A new statistical study of (straight) porn says that the average female star is a 5'5" brunette woman with b-cups that entered the industry at 22. The average male is a 5'10" 167.5 lbs male who started at 24 and has made 16 films.

Every page on the internet is accessible in 19 clicks or less, meaning that Bill Donahue of the Catholic League is less than two dozen clicks away from Corbin Fischer.

Reno 911!'s Thomas Lennonhas been tapped to play the demanding boss in Sean Hayes' new comedy pilot for NBC. Which one of them will be more "Jack," as both have a lot of experience?

The Following'sJames Purefoy says that when he kissed Kevin Bacon, he got a little tongue action. "Yeah, I just remember his tongue flicking gently into my mouth. So forward of him. And in front of all those people. I thought what we had was private."

Legendary music producer Clive Davishas come out as bisexual in his new book. The 80-year-old says "After my second marriage failed, I met a man who was also grounded in music. Having only had loving relationships and sexual intimacy with women, I opened myself up to the possibility that I could have that with a male, and found that I could." Davis says he's now in a relationship with a man, and says sexuality is more complex than most want to admit, "but I never stopped being attracted to women. Bisexuality is misunderstood; the adage is that you're either straight or gay or lying, but that's not my experience. To call me anything other than bisexual would be inaccurate."

Miley Cyrus says that her fiancée Liam Hemsworthis happy when she pimps him out. “All these women are reading about sex iLiam HemsworthCosmo, and then it’s like Liam naked in the pool. So he loves it, I’m sure… he’s like so happy.”

Good news, everyone! Mississippi has finally gotten around to ratifying the 13th Amendment to the constitution, so slavery is officially abolished. They actually took the vote back in 1995 (still a little late), but the Secretary of State never sent the certification in to the federal government.

Something you don't get to type very often is that Neil deGrasse Tyson was wrong. In this case, he was wrong about the weight of Mjolnir, Thor's hammer. The mistake wasn't in his math, but in knowing the lore. Thor's hammer wasn't Mjolnirforged from the core of a collapsing star, but in the core of a collapsing star. The hammer is made from a fictional material called Uru, and is really quite light, about 42.3 lbs, much lighter than 300 billion elephants. If you want to speculate, that's lighter than aluminum, which means it might be made of the holy grail of materials, metallic hydrogen, which could also explain the energy output.

I'm surprised that nearly naked fraternity boys is even news. Isn't that the point of fraternity boys on a college campus? Oh, well, maybe the sexism was a problem.

Finally, a little housekeeping. I'm traveling this weekend to Philadelphia to the annual LGBT Media Journalists Convening, where I'll get to sit down with about 80 of my peers and discuss International LGBT Issues, Immigration, Labor, Aging and Trans Rights. It means you'll be getting some crowdsourced Memes, which I'm sure you'll love contributing to. And I'll miss out on the Oscars while I'm sitting in an airport coming home, so someone else will be tweeting them. Still, it will be wonderful to see some of my colleagues, like Rod McCullom, Bil Browning, and Chris Geidner and so many more. I'll be tweeting the affairs with the hashtag #LGBTMedia13 from my personal account and as is appropriate from the AfterElton account. If you live in Philadelphia, we're having a meetup on Saturday night at Tavern on Camac from 9-11PM, so come by and say hello to all your favorite bloggers (and me). If you're wondering where the Evil Gay Agenda gets set every year, this is one of those meetings.

My hearthrob Parker Young spent Valentine's Day with Carmen Electra, who was wearing a bathrobe. Why wasn't Parker wearing a bathrobe?

For reasons I don't completely understand, here is a shirtless Matthew Mitcham with a ukelele on a crowded stage

Gavin Creel takes his dog to the park in London

Also in London, my future ex-husband Russell Tovey cuddles with Ernie, looking as completely content as I'm sure he will when he and I are cuddling. Maybe he and Gavin can have a doggie playdate? Wait, two of my handsome crushes together? It's either a fantasy come true, or I'm about to become a third wheel in our imaginary relationships.

I have never been so jealous of a dog in my life

This new trailer for GI Joe: Retaliation basically gives away the entire plot of the movie, if movies like this can be said to have a plot. It shows us the bad guy, and even has a telling explosion at the end. Then again, I don't know that you can really have spoilers for a GI Joe movie, it's not like they'll ever end on with Cobra winning.

Death Star PR is my new favorite thing. Can you imaging working in PR for the Empire? How do you spin the destruction of an entire planet by something called a Death Star? These guys are up to the task though.

In Rachel Weisz' appearance on Jimmy Kimmel the other night, we get a really good look at the dynamic between two of the three witches in Oz: The Great and Powerful. I think there's a lot more humor in this movie than I was expecting.

Let's be honest: the first time you climbed the high dive at the pool, you were just like this penguin. We all were.

Glee's Nolan Funk sat down with Pop Sugar to talk about Glee, his hopes for his character, and the dedication the cast has to making a show that basically has no rehearsal time. He also talks about starring in The Canyons with Lindsay Lohan, and seems to have been briefed fairly well by his PR people on how to talk about the project and the starlet. It sounds like we get to see a very passionate side to Funk in this movie, and hopefully a fairly naked side to him as well.
