FX has issued an apology to fans of The Americans who found their DVR recordings cut off early. The episode ran for 67 minutes but listings had the run time going for an hour, meaning many viewers missed vital scenes. FX is putting the full episode online for viewers to catch up.
The next target for Adult Swim — 80s detective shows. Deadline reports that the late night block has ordered a new live action series, Hole to Hole, that will parody 80s detective shows.
Since I find Artie one of the more toxic characters on Glee, I didn't expect to be excited at the thought of meeting his mother, but she's going to be played by Katey Sagal (who was once one of Bette Midler's Harlettes) which suddenly has me caring about him a smidge. I'm still not sure what kind of casting it would take to get me to care about Kitty or Will.
Paul Reubens has joined the cast of Once Upon a Time's Wonderland spin-off series, according to Deadline. He'll play the voice of the White Rabbit.

When I venture into message boards and comment threads where people are discussing TV, I'm a little appalled to observe what has been aptly dubbed Skyler White syndrome, where a female character who calls out a male antihero on his faults becomes the focus of hate among viewers.
So. Uh. The BBC considered making an animated Doctor Who series which would feature all eleven Doctors (wouldn't that raise the question of where twelve and thirteen are?) I don't know what to think of that.

With all the talk about late night TV in the past few weeks, NPR's Linda Holmes asks why there isn't similar attention paid to daytime TV. Last week, Judge Joe Brown was cancelled after a fifteen year run, drawing as many viewers as The Tonight Show (the top late night talker) does. Meanwhile, the top daytime court show, Judge Judy draws more viewers than any late night host does.
Speaking of the late night wars, Comedy Central declared victory as The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report managed to draw more viewers in the target demo than any of its late night competitors. Comedy Central has won the late night ratings battle on individual nights before but this is the first time Stewart and Colbert landed on top for a full quarter.

Michael Feinstein is back for another look at the history of American popular music starting with a look at musical theatre. Since you know Feinstein wouldn't tackle the subject without spending some time with the great show tune performers, he sits down with Angela Lansbury, Christine Ebersole and Stephen Sondheim.

While I'd like to see Michael find a role where he continues to be a valuable part of the team even without his hand, I guess Nikita isn't there since this week Nikita follows another lead on a prostetic hand that could bring things back to the way things were before. I'm still hoping Michael ends up finding a way to become a guy who doesn't let a disability slow him down.

Turner Classic Movies kicks off its new film showcase series by turning to Cher to co-host "A Woman's World: The Defining Era of Women in Film," a four-part series featuring 17 films Cher picked to highlight the changing roles of women. The first part looks at motherhood with Mildred Pierce at 8PM, Stella Dallas at 10PM, Penny Serenade at Midnight and Bachelor Mother at 2:15 AM.

As Maya continues to go through her teenage rebellion phase, she gets rid of her cello after a bad audition and leaves me sadly shaking my head. Is everyone self-destructing this season? That's one way to make me appreciate Tristan's lack of screen time.

We're at the penultimate episode of the entire series and we pretty much know how this is going to end (Agron taps into the Phoenix Force and saves the rebellion, right? Right? Don't tell me I've been writing outlining too much fanfic!). This is why the grocery store started carrying tissues in club store sizes.

It's taken a season-and-a-half but its finally time to give Juliette that "So Your Boyfriend is a Grimm, Hope You're Not Freaked Out By Medieval Weapons" pamphlet (provided by Emma Pilsbury, of course). For the most part I'd like to see Juliette become a part of the team, but after watching the way Juliette's storyline has been dragged along, I wouldn't mind if she took one look at Nick's mace and decide she's moving in with Rosalee's Aunt.

Okay, so I enjoyed last week's premiere but was it supposed to be so, er, homage-y? Was I supposed to spend the episode thinking of memorable, similar moments from past Steven Moffat-written episodes? As much as I enjoyed Jenna-Louise Coleman channel her best Emma Peel, the sense of deja vu was a bit distracting. That shouldn't be a problem this week, as we get an episode written by Luther creator Neil Cross that sees Clara on her first trip to an awesome, alien planet.

Oh. Wow. The reviews I read did not prepare me for the snarky, slutty wonder of Sarah's gay brother Felix (I'm keeping my fingers crossed we see him hook up with that adorkable coroner*) or the glory of Dylan Bruce (and the way he's winning snicks' future approval with all the nudity). Of course, those are just part of the amazing candy coating that's distracting me from the fun, crazy-twisty story.
* One more cute gay coroner on TV and we've got a trend!
