Dish customers who are Walking Dead fans were relieved last night to find that their AMC had been restored. Thanks to Dish finally reaching a settlement with AMC Networks. Now those Walking Dead just have to deal with Dish Chairman Charlie Ergen dismissive comments about them.
It turns out Private Practice will end with the exit of series star Kate Walsh. I'd like to think this improves the chances of Scandal sticking around.
Jennifer Esposito is in the midst of a big battle with CBS. After the network announced that her Blue Bloods character would be departing for a little while, Esposito countered with claims that CBS was unwilling to work with her as she battled with Celiac Disease.
You can add Carl Weathers to the list of actors/characters appearing in the upcoming season of Arrested Development. However, don't expect any "Call Me Maeby" jokes.

NPR's Monkee See breaks down the elements of a Hallmark Channel movie, which is far more formulaic than I realized. I'd add the inclusion of a slightly off-beat casting, which is how some of their movies make it onto these listings.
At Vulture, Matt Zoler Seitz argues that fans should let dead TV shows stay dead, reminding them that the result of reviving a dead franchise can just as easily be The Phantom Menace as much as Star Trek: The Next Generation. I'm mixed on Seitz's piece. Sure, reunions can disappoint and there are plenty of times we all know its going to go badly before the first table read, but I don't think that's a reason to dismiss reunions overall.
For those of us who figured The Mob Doctor would be the season's first cancellation, Fox is taking those terrible ratings during November sweeps. That means we're still on John Benjamin Hickey watch.
HBO is thinking of doing a third WWII mini-series, this one possibly focused on the airmen who fought in the war. Since my partner is a fan of Band of Brothers and The Pacific, I expect he'll be happy to hear HBO's returning to the topic.

After giving The Mindy Project a full season, Fox has ordered two more episodes.
NBC has purchased a comedy starring The Office's Craig Robinson with Office producer Greg Daniels. The series would follow a musician adjusting to a career change as he takes a teaching job.
At the moment, NBC is the number one network among younger viewers, which surprises even NBC's executives. It's been helped by two definite new hits — Revolution and Go On — along with disappointing performances by the competition.
In disappointing ratings news the third season premiere of Nikita hit a series low. At least Grimm was the night's top scripted series.

Today, Yvette Nicole Brown is Anderson's co-host and, by coincidence, its her first interview since Chevy Chase's latest blowup on the set of Community. Maybe TMZ headlines can bring viewers to Community — I don't think I can survive losing both Liz Lemon and Abed in the same year.
