The Good Wife have an impressive (and huge) recurring cast, and it has just added T.R. Knight. Knight will play a political operative, which is just the kind of character who has room to make return appearances. Also, Michael J. Fox will return as Louis Canning.
In unsurprising news, Showtime has ordered a third season of Homeland. Then again, maybe you thought the shelf full of awards and solid ratings were a misdirect about the series' future.

Fox's lone Tuesday-night comedy that has a shorter season than the rest of its neighbors is Ben & Kate, it looks likely that midseason comedy The Goodwin Games will get that time slot. When it does, it will have Laurie Metcalf appearing in two episodes as the boss of Scott Foley's character.
Fox isn't the only one asking for longer seasons, ABC ordered two more episodes of Modern Family, Grey's Anatomy, The Middle and The Shark Tank.
MTV is developing young adult novel Unraveling into a potential series. The book follows a young woman who suspects her mysterious and sexy classmate brought her back from death after a car accident.
Despite Peter Berg's demands that the Mitt Romney campaign stop using a variant on the Friday Night Lights motto "Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose", the campaign is now selling merchandise with the catchphrase.
In an interview at the AV Club, Adam Pally says he tries not to think of the significance of his Happy Endings character to gay visibility, " I try not to think about any of that stuff. I feel like once you do, then you’re thinking too much about the macro of the character, and not just about the moment. I just want to take Max moment by moment and try not to think too much outside that."
It's official, Jane Fonda will star in an ABC comedy pilot Now What?. Fonda will play a woman who moves in with her daughter after she writes a blog post titled, "Dear Mom, Here's Why I Hate You..." and refuses to move out until they work through their issues.

I wasn't a fan of the first PLL Halloween special, but it mostly didn't work for the reasons prequels don't usually work. This time, Halloween sees the Liars try to recover from Nate's short reign of terror by seeing Adam Lambert perform. Naturally, the "A" team looks likely to ruin that fun.

Jimmy and Sabrina are about to prepare for their wedding by attending a couples' retreat, but Burt and Virginia see a chance to get a free vacation... and to keep things crowded, Sabrina's mom is joining the trip with her boyfriend Roberto (Wilmer Valderrama)... oh and I didn't even get to mentioning that the retreat is led by a priest played by the one and only Leslie Jordan.

Sigh. The Tuesday night comedy pileup is finally here. I hoped Go On would lose me by now (despite the participation of Todd Holland) but now its time to choose between the anarchy of ABC's urban comedies, the wide-eyed hopefulness of Fox's romantic sitcoms and the domestic comfort of NBC's duo. This week, Happy Endings defintely has the edge, not just because it's the first new episode in months but it has Matthew Del Negro (who has been showing up a lot lately) as the object of Max's new crush.

Somehow Schmidt buying Nick a cookie leads to a debate on male friendship (and, presumably, at what point do two guy friends start seeming more like boyfriends). I'm usually happy with how New Girl has handled male and female friendship, I'm hoping they do equally well with close male friendship.

It's a return of one of Go On's familiar beats, Ryan's uncomfortable at receiving affection from the group, who are just overflowing with ways to express love. This time, it's Ryan's birthday that gets things moving as the group plans an unwelcome scavenger hunt. Whoever finds where Ryan buried his vulnerability wins!
