Neon Hitch
With a name like Neon Hitch, a colorful backstory is a given. The British singer songwriter was a circus trapeze artist, fire swinger and stilt walker before breaking into the music industry. (Legend has it she was discovered on MySpace. Remember MySpace?)
After co-writing and performing on tracks for other artists, Hitch is currently at work on her debut album Beg, Borrow, and Steal. She's already released two singles from the forthcoming album , "F-ck You Betta" and "Gold" which has been described (accurately we think) as "pure pop bliss."
The lyrics are an ode to the singer's man who “shines like gold” and is “sweeter than a Cinnabon.” We can get behind any song that has a Cinnabon shoutout, and the great Bruno Mars shares a writing credit on the track.
While we loved the original single when it came out in August, we're even more enamored of the Ralphi Rosario remix, soon to be released as part of Neon Hitch's "Gold" - The Remixes. AfterElton readers are getting an exclusive first listen!
