I've repeatedly suppressed the urge to wish for Count Vertigo to appear on Arrow. He's the only Green Arrow villain I know (aside from heroin addiction) but he also doesn't belong to the non-powered corner of the DC Universe. Thus, imagine my surprise at the news that Vertigo will be the season's big villain... and interestingly he'll have some version of his powers. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for Cheshire, though.

ABC is developing a comedy starring out Chelsea Lately panelist Fortune Feimster. Discounted will focus on two sisters (one played by Feimster) struggling to keep their furniture store open despite competition from a big box furniture store chain.
As much as I'm tired of hearing news about new shows inspired by a celebrity, I'd check out one inspired by Martha Stewart, who can be an interesting character, especially if you include her relationship with her daughter. Unfortunately, The Tao of Martha will follow a disorganized former party girl who takes inspiration from Stewart's writings, making it a TV version of Julie and Julia.
The CW is developing a period drama that will explore the women's liberation movement in 1972. I'd be interested in such a show but I'm not sure if I have faith that The CW can do it justice.
Vulture asks, "Is the NBC comeback for real?" Short version: it's doing well for now, but a lot of that relies on The Voice and Sunday Night Football, but hits like Revolution and Go On have the potential to become building blocks for a stronger lineup.
While the ratings are still good, Dancing with the Stars has been hitting series lows this season.

For a moment, I was feeling such a great feeling of relief from last night's election results that I was planning on checking out Anderson's post-election day show. Then I reminded myself that his guest hosts are Deborah Norville and Meghan McCain, which doesn't sound like a show I want to watch.

Among the many things that can make the internet let out a collective squee are the sight of unexpected interspecies animal friendships. It may be adorable to see a cat have a mouse buddy, but does that also demonstrate that animals are capable of complex emotions like compassion and loyalty? I suspect this is one episode you should stock up on tissues before watching.

This seems to be turning out to be a season where new serials aren't complacently letting the wheels spin until it's almost time to put together a finale. Revolution pretty much explained the blackout this week with little hype, the story on Last Resort keeps moving, and now Arrow is about to put its hero on trial for murder, his double identity discovered. (I like to think this is the influence of Revenge.) While I'm sure Ollie will find a way to confuse the connection between him and the new vigilante in town, I'm pleasantly surprised that we're already seeing a story like this.

I haven't had the time to keep up with The X-Factor this season, and the idea of a Kardashian as host really makes me want to stay away, but I hear there's an out finalist, Jason Brock... on a show with Simon Fuller judging? Now that's a twist that surprises me.

It's a Pritchett family crisis when one family member gets arrested (alright, it's Haley) which sends lawyer Mitch to the police station and leaves Cameron to babysit the other Dunphy teens. I can't wait to find out what horribly inappropriate thing Lily accidentally learns from her cousins.
Supernatural (CW) 9:00 PM ET
The Winchesters latest investigation turns up a new shocker, learning that Garth (DJ Qualls) has taken up the slack created by Bobby's death, Dean's exile and Sam's hiatus. I never expected to be excited about a character played by DJ Qualls, but Supernatural has an ability to deliver pleasant character surprises.

The Chatswin social scene is turned upside-down when Dalia decides she'd rather spend her time with her potential future stepmother than Kimantha, Kenzie and Kaitlyn... who, in turn, seek advice from Tessa and Lisa. I don't know if I'm hoping that Tessa uses her new power for good or evil.

Since we already have someone who appears to be a Nazi hiding at the asylum, why not up the ante with a patient who claims to be Anne Frank.

I haven't had the time yet to give NBC's firefighter drama another look, but it sounds like it delivers the hoyay to the point that maybe I should bump this behind my plans to check out Nashville.

It's time for another group of cheftestants to take on a new set of challenges... and after years of ridiculous twists that overshadowed the showcase of talent, the series is promising to go back to basics. I'd be doubtful if Top Chef Masters recent season usually gave the chefs a chance to show off their skill and artistry. Maybe there's a chance that I won't end up walking away from this once-great show in frustration.
South Park (Comedy Central) 10:00 PM ET
Culturally, it doesn't quite feel like the election is over until South Park weighs in. Last time, we learned that the Obamas, McCainand were just planning a big caper. This time, Cartman thinks he has the secret to the election thanks to a pile of papers in his room.
