NBC has ordered four more episodes of Guys with Kids, giving the series a 17-episode first season.
Bad news, Whitneyfansfan viewers who don't think its that bad, the comedy's return drew similar ratings to the cancelled Animal Practice, which Whitney replaced.

After all the gay male characters Degrassi has depicted, it's great to see the teen drama tackle an issue like body image from a gay character's perspective, especially in the context of a larger guy like Tristan having a crush on a fit guy like Fab. This week sees Tristan dive into crash diets and increasingly-intense workouts. I just hope this isn't an issue that easily goes away for Tristan. In real life those insecurities stick around for the rest of your life, even if you manage to make yourself look like you could appear on the cover of Men's Health.

It's time for the Grimm fall finale and a break from NBC trying to make "Thank Grimm It's Friday!" happen. As is fitting for a finale, there's plenty of good material for a cliffhanger, like Adalind's return to Portland as well as Monroe being thrown into Captain Renard and Juliette's secret.

Homer's new buddy (Steve Carrell) turns out to be Fat Tony's accountant — just in time for him to take over the mob while Fat Tony is stuck on jury duty. Meanwhile, Lisa tries to see if eating bugs can help her make up for the lack of protein in her vegetarian diet. (Clearly this meat-eater needs to share some tofu recipes with a cartoon character.)

Are the American Music Awards just MTV's VMAs for people who don't have cable, as the AV Club's tolerability index suggests? I'd like to think that just raises the bar for a performer list that includes Kelly Clarkson, Carly Rae Jepsen, No Doubt, Pink and Christina Aguilera.
It's Christmas, Carol! (Hallmark) 8:00 PM ET
In addition to having the best name for one of the gajillion retellings of A Christmas Carol out there (why hasn't this title been used sooner?), Hallmark's latest entry in the sub-sub-genre has Carrie Fisher as the ghost who haunts the story's miserly businesswoman (the Carol of the title), while Carson Kressley is one of Carol's oppressed employees. So sometime next year, we're going to see a Christmas Carol story with a thinly-vieled Mitt Romney in the Scrooge role, right?
The Amazing Race (CBS) 8:30 PM ET
Oh. Wow. Just as we're trying to figure out how this whole last place alliance is supposed to work (so.... they're going to work together and have a footrace to the mat? they're going to dare Phil to eliminate them both or declare a non-elimination leg? Another team messes up and threatens to make that whole question moot. I can't wait to see where this goes — at least we know Team Chippendale is sticking around for at least one more leg — I'm having so much fun with Jaymes' sense of humor.
Holiday Spin (Lifetime) 9:00 PM ET
Lifetime's entry to the Sunday-night holiday movie has Ralph Macchio as Ruben, a retired ballroom-dancer-turned-instuctor who finds himself raising a son he hasn't seen since birth. However, when Ruben's star student drops out of the "Holiday Spin" dance competition, guess who has to learn how to dance well enough to win the cash prize that will save Ruben's dance studio? If the plot gets a bit predictable, you can enjoy some dramatic ballgowns and the promise of a shirtless scene for Garrett Clayton.

Okay, why are Michonne and Andrea friends? The Walking Dead has improved its characterization this season, but this friendship has remained a mystery, especially since the relationship has mostly consisted of Michonne being right and Andrea dragging down Michonne's awesomeness. Now that they've been separated since Andrea was (almost literally) a day late in realizing that something's wrong with Woodburry, this week she's jumping over the wall to find her pal.

After his stepfather dies, Stan invites his mother (Swoosie Kurtz) to move in and... well, what do you expect to happen between Stan's mom and Stan's charming, unrelated permanent houseguest? That's right, Stan's getting a new stepfather.
