August 16 is a big day in rock history: Mythological panther sorceress Madonna was born on that day in 1958, and snarling crotch-whipper Elvis Presley died on that day in 1977. I got to thinking: Is there a gay spin on rock 'n' roll history? Surely I can find one. Surely I am one.
In this edition of Weeklings!, I revisit 50+ years of rock history in three minutes and figure out how gay it all was. Sure, I didn't bring up Elton John, but I work for a website whose name was long ago inspired by him. So I figure I've done enough charity for that guy.
