Gay men are pretty damn good at identifying and defining themselves through pop culture, even winkingly. It's our great pastime to pick and idolize one particular character or celebrity from a TV ensemble or music group. Growing up, I knew I was a Wakko (Animaniacs), a Christine McVie (Fleetwood Mac), and a Barbara Cooper (Valerie Bertinelli's character from One Day at a Time -- reruns used to air on E!). And today, I'm celebrating that self-identification in this edition of Weeklings! with a little help from my friends Guy Branum, Bryan Safi, and Jeffery Self.
Watch as we each choose a personal Beatle, Sex and the City dame, Queer Eye guy, and Fanta flavor girl. Will yours be different? Probably. And hopefully. For your sake.
