The Carrie Diaries
wraps its first season with brunch.

ABC's S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot (now titled Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. so that fanboys can start asking when does Kitty Pride show up) has turned into an Angel reunion with J. August Richardsjoining the cast in an undisclosed role.

CNN is reviving Crossfire because, at this point, the show Jon Stewart once described as "hurting America" and James Earl Jones' voice is all CNN has left.

Shonda Rhimes gets a lot of praise for the racial diversity in her shows, but there's another admirable trend in her work, all of her shows have included adoptive parents.

EW reports that American Dad is planning an episode where Stan and Francine team up with a quartet of Charlie's Angels-style flight attendants played by Becki Newton, Thandie Newton, CSI: Miami's Megalyn Echikunwoke and Gillian Jacobs. They'll do battle with an evil Mark Cuban who plans on destroying the sun.

Last week's Parks & Recreation included many references to David Foster Wallace's novel Infinite Jest (producer Michael Schur is a fan of Wallace's work) and you can check out two sets of annotations. I'm still looking for the chance to spot all the Demolished Man references in a TV show.

With a strong start in the ratings, History has ordered a second season of Vikings. Then again, this week we find out if the period drama can maintain its audience without a lead-in from The Bible mini-series.

I've been watching The Vampire Diaries off and on this season, and I missed a certain major character's violent departure.  Spoiler alert, but TVLine reports that the fan favorite actor will be returning before the season ends.

Being Human Marathon (Syfy) starting at 8:30 AM ET
Shows like True Blood, Teen Wolf and Afterlife have expanded the idea of what it's like to be a vampire, werewolf or ghost, but Being Human is the show that gets to mash up those mythologies, asking questions like "What would happen if a vampire bit a werewolf?" Frustratingly, Being Human wasn't quite sure what to do with itself in its second season and adopted a frustrating pattern where the leads made stupid obvious mistakes and angst about it. However, in its third season, Being Human found its voice again with a vengeance, finding new ways to play with the question of what it means to try to maintain your humanity as a vampire, werewolf or a zombie. If you skipped this season of Being Human I recommend tuning in for the marathon.

Anderson Live (syndicated) Check local listings
Soledad O'Brien joins Anderson as today's co-host to remind us why CNN would be ridiculous if they don't find another show for her.

Katie (syndicated) Check local listings
Valerie Harper, Mary Tyler MooreCloris Leachman, Georgia Engel and Betty White sit down with Katie to share some untold stories from their iconic careers and a discussion of how they're supporting Harper in her battle with cancer.

The Carrie Diaries (CW) 8:00 PM ET
We're at the end of The Carrie Diaries' first season and, looking at the ratings, this could end up being the series finale. That would be unfortunate since, despite some rough moments (I'm still not buying the purse that launched a career) it's turned out to be a show that has managed to skillfully mix teen drama, a convincing 80s flashback (I love that they remembered what the clean cut kids were wearing in 1984), the opportunity to write Sex and the City/Scott Pilgrim/Doctor Who crossover fanfiction and a frank look at sexuality that would have caused meltdowns if it had aired in 1984. Still, even if this is our final look at Carrie's high school friends, at least we're going to get to see Walt get closer to Bennet.

The Following (Fox) 9:00 PM ET
Seeing how Warehouse 13 freaked viewers out when it killed Steve Jinks, the promos for tonight's Following leaves its Ashmore tied up to a chair.

Being Human (Syfy) 9:00 PM ET
At the end of the third season, we've got two big villains (for a witchy villain, Donna's so much scarier than Marnie on True Blood) waiting for a final, big confrontation all while Aidan starts to realize that turning Kenny was a very big mistake. After seeing these characters grow over the season, I'm eager to see where things end up. Let's hope the fourth season announcement is coming soon.

Bates Motel (A&E) 10:00 PM ET
Sure, we know Norman's having conversations with his mother in his head but has he... er, disassociated from reality enough to hallucinate a slave in the deputy's basement?

Revolution (NBC) 10:00 PM ET
I'm sure there's a good reason out there that Elizabeth Mitchell has a following, but between this show and V, I tend to associate her with characters who make foolish moves primarily to keep the story from moving too quickly. Tonight, her character walks away from the group to take on a solo mission that could offer her a chance at redemption. That sounds like the kind of thing that calls for some particularly final goodbyes.

RuPaul's Drag Race (Logo) 10:00 PM ET
The regular Drag Race challenges achieved that organically, becoming annual events because they made really memorable TV moments worth repeating again and again. Tonight, we're ready for the makeover challenge, which has been a great test of the competitors drag skills while also delivering some powerful emotion. This year's makeover has the dolls working with gay veterans.

The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (CBS) 12:35 AM ET
Craig has a great guest list tonight with Max Greenfield and Debbie Reynolds.

What will you be watching tonight? Please share in the comments!

Tomorrow's Preview

Anderson Live (syndicated) Check local listings
It's another true crime Tuesday with Jane Velez-Mitchell while Nick Cannon sits for an interview.
