- Airing on ABC from October 30, 1980 until June 11, 1982, It's A Living had a short first season run on ABC (because of the writer's strike), and when it was brought back for Season Two, the title was inexplicably changed to Making A Living and Susan Sullivan was inexplicably replaced with Louise Lasser. ABC canceled the show after its second season, but the show proved so popular in syndicated reruns, it was brought back for first-run syndication in 1985, where it ran for four more seasons, this time including Crystal Bernard and Sheryl Lee Ralph.
